Become a Member.

Denby Bowls Club is very friendly and dedicated to the enjoyment of Crown Green Bowls by members of all ages, backgrounds and persuasions.  Although we do field teams for competitive matches in the Belper League, we do not only play the best players, we include and encourage anyone who wants to compete.

If you are only interested in social bowling we do this on Sunday and Monday afternoons during the season where our qualified coach and our more experienced players are always happy to help and encourage new members.

Members are of course able to use the green at any time unless there is a match (please see the Fixtures page for dates).

If you are of a more competitive bent you can play in one of our teams in the Belper or South Derbyshire Leagues, in one of the teams below.

Tuesday evening                   – 2 doubles and 4 singles
Wednesday afternoon          – Over 55s (2 doubles and 4 singles)
Wednesday evening              – Doubles
Ladies Thursday evening     – Ladies (2 doubles and 4 singles)
Saturday afternoon               – Singles
Floodlight League                 – 4 Doubles and 8 singles

We offer a range of membership options to suit different needs. Please see below.

  • Full Membership

    This includes access to the green at any time during the season unless there is a match, organised social bowling on Monday and Sunday afternoons, access to play in any league matches.

    £30

  • Non-League Membership

    This discounted membership is aimed for those who don't wish to play in the leagues and includes access to the green at any time during the season unless there is a match, organised social bowling on Monday and Sunday afternoons.

    £20

  • Junior Membership

    Reduced price membership for under-18's only.

    £10

It is also possible for players to take part and use the facilities on a casual basis – this is charged £2.50 per session

Members of other clubs who request to play in one specific team that is short on numbers may be offered a discretionary rate.

For Social bowling there is an additional £1 per session. Please bring your own tea/coffee if required.

For League players the cost is £2 per home match and  £1 per away or cup match.
